Series 4520 1 & 2 L General Purpose Bench Top Reactors

Available in 1 and 2 Liter capacities, these are the largest of the Parr Stirred Reactor Systems that can be operated on a Bench Top. They are available as either a fixed head or moveable head, and with the addition of a flat PTFE gasket working temperatures of 350 °C can be achieved.


Series 4530 1 & 2 L General Purpose Floor Stand Reactors

These versatile 1 and 2 L reactor systems are mounted on a sturdy floor stand to accommodate larger stirring motors and other modifications such as bottom drain valves, jacketed vessels, condensers and many other fittings not practical for a bench top configuration. The floor stand is available as a fixed location stand or as a moveable cart.


Series 4540 600-1200 mL High Pressure Reactors

This series of bench top reactors is designed specifically for the user who needs a higher pressure than the standard general purpose line of reactors, but does not require the higher temperatures of our HP/HT line of reactors. Available in both moveable and fixed head versions, these vessels share the outer dimensions of the 1 and 2 L 4520 and 4530 reactors, but the thicker walls that allow for the higher pressure reduce their volumes to 600 and 1200 mL respectively.


Series 4550 1 & 2 Gallon Floor Stand Reactors

The 4550 series of reactors extends the volumes offered by the 4530 series to 1 and 2 Gallons. Due to the large size and weight of these reactors, our engineers have developed a unique hinged split-ring that stays attached to the floor stand model. Once the split ring is opened and swung clear, the user is able to lower the heavy vessel easily with the included pneumatic lift.


Series 4555 10 & 20 L General Purpose Floor Stand Reactors

Available as either a fixed head vertical floor stand or movable head with a horizontal floor stand. Due to the extreme weight of these vessels, each configuration has in place a vessel handling system that takes the effort out of working with these versatile systems. The vertical stand uses a hinged split ring and pneumatic lift, and the horizontal stand uses a pivoting overhead hoist that allows for staging of multiple vessels.


Series 4560 100-600 mL Mini Reactor Systems

Although they are called “Mini” reactors, these systems offer a range of sizes large enough to work with significant sample sizes, yet small enough to be handled with ease by all operators. Versatile and interchangeable, these vessels are made in both fixed head and moveable vessel styles in sizes from 100 – 600 mL. A high-temperature option can take these vessels from general purpose temperatures and pressures, to up to 500 °C (this option lowers the MAWP to 2000 psi, 138 bar).


Series 4570 250-1800 mL High Pressure/High Temperature Reactors

Available in various combinations of volumes from 250 to 1800 mL, temperatures to 500 °C, and pressures to 5000 psi (345 bar), the 4570 Series of High pressure/High Temperature Reactors are configurable as a bench top, floor stand or moveable cart. These reactor systems are outfitted with all the suitable fittings and modifications to operate at these extended pressures and temperatures.


Series 4580 3750 & 5500 mL High Pressure/High Temperature Reactors

Available volumes of 3750 and 5500 mL with temperatures to 500 °C, and pressures to 3000 psi (200 bar), the 4580 Series of High pressure/High Temperature Reactors are configurable as a floor stand or moveable cart. These reactor systems are outfitted with all the suitable fittings and modifications to operate at these extended pressures and temperatures.


Series 4590 25-100 mL Micro Reactor Systems

These are the smallest of all Parr Stirred Reactors. They will be a good choice for chemists working with very expensive materials or materials only available in small amounts. They will also appeal to users who wish to minimize the risks associated with hazardous materials or reactions by restricting the reactants or products to a minimum. Available in 25, 50, and 100 mL, these vessels can be configured with standard pressure and temperature capability, or with a high-pressure/high-temperature option that takes the vessels to 5000 psi (345 bar) and 500 °C.


Series 5100 Glass Reactor Systems

These unique reactors were developed to solve a number of problems in the lab. They allow the user to run reactions similar to those that have been conducted for many years in the Parr shaker, but offer stirring for better scalability, higher operating temperatures and pressures, and more extensive reactor controls and instrumentation. They also provide elevated pressures while also allowing direct observation of mixing action, color changes, or changes of state. These reactors also provide for convenient operation at moderate pressure and/or for corrosion resistance.


Series 5500 High Pressure Compact Laboratory Reactors

The Series 5500 reactors are based on the popular 4560 and 4590 line of Mini and Micro Reactors. A redesigned compact magnetic drive, stirrer motor, and aluminum block heater that also serves as the stand keep the size and costs down. These systems will interest not only the the user with limited space or budget, but also the user looking to build a cost-effective multiple reactor system for combinatorial chemistry or high throughput investigations.
