Machined Spiral Stirrers
Parr’s line of excellent stirrers has been expanded to include a new robust spiral stirrer, machined from a solid bar of stainless steel or any other material in which Parr reactors are offered.
This one piece spiral design is specifically tailored to handle difficult, highly viscous substances such as heavy oils, polymers, and even slurries with significant solids content.
Customize for Your Reactor
The new machined stirrers can be customized for reactors with flat or tapered base geometries, with both upflow and downflow blade options available.
Notice the curved scoop along the bottom of the stirrers. This precise design improves the ability to lift heavier materials off the bottom of the cylinder.
No Second Set of Blades Required
Since the Machined Spiral Stirrer is a single solid unit, the blades are extremely durable. Unlike other sheet metal spirals, a second set of blades is not required. Not only is this more convenient, but it also makes it possible to provide internal reactor parts (thermowell, dip tube, etc.) which can reach just above the bottom of the reactor.
Please consult our Parr Technical Services team with any questions to ensure you have a suitable motor, belt and pulley, or gearbox configurations. Remember, these agitators are designed for use with viscous materials, which may require higher torque delivery than standard impeller stirrers. We are eager to help and ensure you have the right product for the job
