Parr Instrument Company has announced plans to build a 54,000 square foot facility adjacent to their existing building at the corner of 53^rd Street and 4^th Avenue in Moline, Illinois. The new state of the art facility will house the manufacturing operations of the company established in 1899. After completion of the new facility the existing 26,000 square feet of vacated manufacturing space will be renovated for administrative use.

Parr Instrument Company is honored to be part of the Illinois Manufacturers’ Association and IMEC’s Makers on the Move tour for Manufacturing Month. Mark Denzler with IMA, David Boulay with IMEC, State Senator Michael Halpin, Representative Gregg Johnson, Representative Dan Swanson, LaDrina Wilson from the Quad Cities Chamber of Commerce, Parr’s President & CEO Jim Nelson, & Parr’s Machine Shop Supervisor Nate Brown all spoke about the importance of manufacturing to businesses and our community.

Jim Nelson and Parr’s Operations Manager, Stacey Moon led the group on a tour of Parr’s facility while providing an overview of Parr’s products and its 124-year history. Guests were able to see Parr’s skilled machinists and manufacturing team at work creating high-quality Parr reactors, pressure vessels, and calorimeters.
